Pastor David believes church should be a place where people feel comfortable, loved, and accepted. His approach to ministry is warm and approachable, focused on helping people experience the love of God in a real and personal way.
You will often find him sitting among the congregation rather than standing apart, talking with people, laughing, or welcoming visitors. He believes the church should be a place where the love of God is felt the moment someone walks through the doors.
A moment that affirmed the church’s heart
One visitor once told him, “I can feel the love here.” That simple statement confirmed the heart of the church.

Faith, formation, and a life of serving people
A Life Shaped by Faith
Pastor David’s faith journey began early in life. As a young boy, he experienced a moment that shaped his understanding of God’s presence. One day at school when a cricket ball was lost, he stepped aside and prayed. Before he even finished praying, someone called out that the ball had been found. In that moment, he felt God had answered his prayer, and he sensed that God had something special planned for his life.
Ministry Journey
Pastor David was ordained into ministry in 2001. During his early years, he served under a pastor who mentored and guided him in leadership and service. Later, after spending time away in Maryland, he returned to DeLand and quietly served in the church community. One day, the bishop’s wife asked if he would help teach Sunday School. He agreed to do his best. From there, his ministry continued to grow, eventually leading him into pastoral leadership.
A Servant’s Heart
Pastor David describes his role in one simple way: serving God and serving people. For him, ministry is not about recognition or titles. It is about loving people and helping them grow spiritually. Whether traveling miles to help someone, praying with a member, or encouraging someone going through a difficult time, he approaches ministry with joy and humility.

Pastor David’s preaching style is simple, direct, and filled with encouragement. He believes the Word of God should be understandable to everyone, so he avoids complicated language and focuses on clear, practical teaching rooted in Scripture.

Pastor David is a devoted family man. He is married, has four children, and is blessed with five grandchildren. Family is important to him, and he believes strong families help build strong communities and strong churches.
